And now the radio has died.

Them radios are great...when they work.

Had one in a rental transhit once. Held some FM radio station I was listening to in the Midlands a fair way down the M40, much further than some other crappy radios I've had the misfortune to use.

I always "enjoyed" the way they like to play a split second of another random station from time to time (I assume whilst the RDS was retuning) - every one one I've had/used - and it's a quite a few have done that.

Bummer yours has packed in - I assume it's nothing obvious or you'd have dealt with it - but they can't be that dear are they?

Radio fixed. Someone knocked the little button to release the removable bit.

Both my transits had that radio and neither worked.

Speaking of radios ( we were, were we not?) I could not use the one in the Jag as it was stuck on LW! I fiddled and fiddled endlessly to no avail and so had to read the bloody handbook. There's a separate button to change from LW/MW/ to FM. Radio sounds really good.

Not that I ever listen to it while there's a CD in the slot.

Sadly, I only have one 12v outlet that I use for Garmin purposes.
