Are there some mini pickup parts that you just can't get? I know that VW T2 pickup parts can go for an absolute fortune even if they're not exactly in good condition.

There was nothing of any value on it. Standard 850 with a pudding stirrer 'box, no VIN plate as the front panel was missing, no reg plates and it was so rotten it was held together with ratchet straps. It was absolute rubbish, 50 quid's worth in the baler.

I was astonished that the red 520i made 500 quid plus fees. Another car with nil value above what it would make on the scales.

Or they are cleaning cash at 40 to the pound...

The sound system was terrible and the auctioneer full of shit. 'A real bargain, this', 'going cheap at that price', 'beautiful little car' etc etc.
