No, They have to be a certain distance apart but I can't remember how far.

I suspected it was an inch.

"Gas service pipes must be at least 150mm from electricity meters, controls, electrical switches or sockets, distribution boards or consumer units and at least 25mm from electricity cables"

Thanks, not sure if it will fit, but that’s only the drain for the water heater so not critical.

No idea. Anything that could cause a spark maybe?
They bring out a new reg every time someone's killed. That's how 90% were formed.

Slow progress being made. Dodging the gas pipe hasn't gone exactly as planned but I think any risk is minimal.

Been parked up next to this old war horse for the last couple of days. Cannot be many of them left (and yes, there is rust in the usual places on the Transit, the bodywork is plastic).
