The camping and caravan thread

Talk about your cars etc here. Keep it sort of sensible and on topic please.

I love the flowers and the ship's wheel on the back. Getting in and out looks as if it might be a challenge - it certainly wouldn't suit our dog. Also would be interesting trying to attach an awning to the fucker.

The rear lights are exactly the same as my caravan though.

I've seen caravans on back of chassis cabs and some actually look half decent.

I like the stealth route too. A plain white van with nothing to distinguish it outside. Even go as far as getting a delivery company name made up for ultimate stealth.

Haven't seen this for years. Maybe it went up in smoke?
Probably sold for megabucks to convert into a hipster coffee or artisan food van.
Well I don't know if it's still around, but 4 years ago it was spotted. Still might have burnt to a cinder since then.

Oh, and if you're going to tow a caravan, do it with a decent car......

(Further up to the right, fortunately out of view, is one of those 'new' defenders complete with stick on checkaplate Ali panels on the bonnet). Class 1 c***

Spent many a childhood holiday in a red Volvo 240 GLT estate, beige 245 2.1 or 740 GLE Estate lugging around a caravan with 5 kids,2 adults and 2 dogs in it. Nowadays though them Volvo's look small against a modern small car.
