Unfortunately Mrs H gave away the po-po cosy coupe, so I've been unable to update my usual photograph.

(Eventually) putting the Rialto back on the road first. Regal might take a bit longer. They both have been on the road under my ownership (2007 and 1992) and I can't register them just yet as they need to be physically viewed upon re-registration. Part of the 'inspection' requires the pen-pusher to determine that they have what the taxman defines as a 'mechanically propelled vehicle' and not just what anyone might generously define as 'quality used spares'. So I think they might need to be a bit more complete.

The odd thing is regarding towing with a trike, there's no hard and fast rule. Bikes have one limit on towing,x amount from rear wheel and y amount width yet trikes don't come under that. My trike is still registered as a reliant Rialto due to regulations regarding sva means because I have an original chassis, brakes, engine, running gear etc it's fine. My trike is a reliant with no body shell pretty much! I have towed a trailer tent with it and know numerous folk who have towed caravans with less substantial setups!

That takeaway looks far more lethal than any combination of trailer/towcar/indeterminate payload that can be theoretically assembled here. Top marks for all of it....

I think there is some sort of rule, but not being at a proper keyboard/desktop prevents me from finding it easily.

At the back of my mind it is 254kg rather than 150kg. I'll back up my claim later. You may have noticed that my Rialto has a towbar too. :D

Yup. Although that is the rookie's snack/munchie box compared to some Noah's Arc offerings...

I can go off a reliant towing capacity so I'm ok! I have towed 500kg braked trailer tent with it. The trailer brakes actually meant the trike stopped better towing than unladen! I'd love another bodied one but prices prohibit it these days.

What capacity is that then?

500kg is a lardy TT. My Combi-camp is 400kg gross unbraked, about 170kg unladen. Plenty of foreign CCs had braked chassis.

How much is a good runner now? I'm out the loop on prices.

A decent MOT runner is upwards of 1500 quid round round here. The trailer tent was a 6 berth with kitchen.

My 1980 is 6 berth but sans kitchen. TTs are so lardy these days!

Fooking hell! I only paid £200 for this smells-of-dog yoke. Mind you that was in 2007, before Clarkson and Con smashed them all up (and the trike axle rapists!)

My trike had its shell removed around 20 years back when they were still plentiful and unloved. A lot of trikers are now using BMW 3 series and Suzuki carry back axles because reliant is so expensive and hard to come by!
