A thread for silly questiions re car purchase?
Didn't know if we already had one... I want/need another car to either go with SuLKy or to replace it. Bella is growing like a weed and soon will no longer fit on the same seat as fat arse Chester. So sooner or later another heap is a must.
Four-door is fine as is an estate (though I'd never put the dog in a 'crumple zone') but it must be an auto, petrol and interesting with a few ccs to make slow pootling a little less slow! I;ve seen an X type Sovereign spec estate, 3.0 awd auto, petrol, leather and very pleasant inside but it's about 4.5K which seems a bloody lot to me for an 05 registered car, is this the going rate now or just someone on the grab?
I always thought X types were pretty much worthless but, seems not...
Quite fancy an XF as well but has to be 'premium luxury' as I like the insides and the vents in the front wings (sad old fucker!) but while there are a million diesels about, petrol seem rare. Pricy as well! Quite like the V8s though
What else is there about?

X types rot like fuck. I'd avoid.

Plus point are you entitled to disabled road tax? I think it's dear on the hemi version which keeps the price down a bit.

Agreed on the X Type estates....I'd assumed them to be banger money by now but they ain't.
Good thread idea, by the way.

Everything is too expensive at the minute to even consider.

Indeed.
I've been eyeing a Citroen C1 over on the beige but it's on the bloody Norfolk border.
Trains down to there are completely fucked, and ludicrously priced too.

74 quid is not too bad in my eyes or 62.50 if you're happy it takes longer with more changes.
