#joking... wokes
My oldest son had his 23rd Birthday, he chowed this lot down no issues Our 3 lads, would it surprise you lot to hear that I am 2nd shortest in or home Dad's car passes MoT with flying colours of course Then I get onto the Series 3 (200 tdi) front brakes. All pipe flares were single at best. The shoes were not aligned right and tbh I have no idea how it stopped. Nothing to do with the current owner. steering box was dry as a bone. a rebuild with a kit of new balls and now fit for reuse Then I went down to devon to my parts chap, L200 picked up a new bonnet mascot I bought this 1981 proper 88 Station wagon from him, it is actually quite solid aside from the chassis and bulkhead. I was able to bulk the bulkhead away with my hands and this is what was left getting ready to lift the solid seat base and rear tub from the rot would it surpise you if I said the chassis was being held straight by the body? one more to come

With the rear tub off the the chassis folded in 4 separate breaks. Been in the sea init The rear tub, once lifted was moved from the farmyard where it sat, so location right in full view of the living rook window... Going to be moved across devon to my dad's barn in Jan 22 My sisters car failed it's mot. again. but 21 years old Tiny bit of welding to the osr outer sill. but before I could get down there she bought a 12 year old replacement car. This was sold of to a local grass track race. Yay Zorro is a race car now end of Movember Option #1 Option #2 Option #3 Mrs said she like none but the Arthur Bostrum (copper from allo allo) was her fav

Re: Land Rover Rustorashun and other shit
update time for you lot that doesn't watch videos of me shouting at land rovers
My parts man and good mate was supposed to be concentrating on farming but then accidently bought 8 Range Rovers, this is one of them, parts fodder territory as the ID is probably on a Disco2 in RoI When they get this far gone it is no great loss. Amazingly I have seen comparable vehicles sell for £5k+... just never happens when I try. These two showed up at an M40 service station on the way to see #1 son in Birmingham.
EV, green? you have got to be fucking joking me Next onto the 1982 series 3 with 200tdi has been causing me bother. The fucking thing is still in my workshop!! Anyway the turbo is defo not disco 200tdi. No idea what it is Onto the other project, a 1993 Range Rover LSE 4.2
Did you know that the crank for the 4.2 Rover v8 came from the aborted V8 Iceberg project. Diesel'ing a Rover v8
Here is the rear cross member removed It was original factory fitted, and while it is fucked and has one nasty mot patch on it, has done well to last this long. Nice for me to see OE fitment and spot welds for future reference.
This car MOT expired earlier this year Inner wings on both sides are way better than I have seen on any other 28 year old Range Rover.. Actually any 20 year old Range Rover More to come

Re: Land Rover Rustorashun and other shit
I thought Disco TDI lumps didn't fit in Series without moving the turbo, could be a homebrew manifold?

Re: Land Rover Rustorashun and other shit
part 2
Brand new and galvanised crossmembers are available. a half decent jemmy and a bit of knowledge has them in place in no time at all. Now I can get on with the boot floor localised repairs, the passenger side needs fuck all, so the drivers side must be the same, right? Yep all fucked, one small hole near the top of the wheel arch has allowed the nice sponge underlay to soak all that water up and make a much bigger problem. Again, seen far worse on cars a fraction of the age of this one. Back to the series 3 200tdi land rover and I removed the turbo. The manifold is 200tdi disco but who the fuck uses nylocs on a turbo install Christmas came and my 3 sons colluded to fill a cat sized hole in Mrs thestag's heart with an ickle kitty I drank an impressive volume of gin and couldn't finish this bag of crisps in even 2 sittings In the meantime I welded the crossmember in. Be careful welding galv folk! breath those willow the wisps in and you will spend the rest of the day hurling your ring more to come

Part 3
fuck you Putin, cunt
LSE Range Rover front wings are off. looks like a horror story but not for me I must admit that after seeing the passenger side OE sill I was expecting more from the drivers side sill To redress the normalcy in my workshop I refitted the dash into the series 3 project. Happy enough I knew inner wings were always in line replacement. Here is how that went Unusually so far, passenger side inner wing was far worse. Hardly anything connected the headlight box to the bulkhead. some struggle to see the light from this point, and if they do it is an oncoming goods train Back axle came off because it had destroyed itself because of a seized centre viscous diff. Because the rear diff was Disco2 I reckon some ham fisted gibbon had already been here without identifying root cause for the failure.]
Axle case was full of swarf this is fairly typical rot between the nsf footwell and bulkhead side panel. I was seeing cars like this at 15 year old inside looks not so bad but is root cause. Moisture gets in, is soaked up by the sound deadening and then rots from the inside to the outside chopped all the rot out... More to come
