I bet the garage are well pleased finding a use for the machine and actually fixing it. That is the sort of job that gives a lot of satisfaction when you finally find the fault.
TBH they did seem quite chuffed with finding it. They also fitted a new breather hose and apologised profusely for it being a bright blue samco one rather than black.

They've started to come down a bit now. This is about the current starting point for them.

Been out for a run in this and it really is driving nicely. Hoping for great results on the next full up!

Well fuel economy data is in over the last 2000 miles it's done an extra 40 miles on each tank of LPG so it's getting 20+ MPG now on gas now in mixed driving which is good considering the robbing bastards have increased the price locally to 107ppl!

Misfire has gradually returned so I'm guessing to wants new gaskets on the upper and lower intakes along with a smear of goo.
Water pump has started to get damp too and looking at the tyres it needs another couple soon.

Think I'll be checking Rock Auto prices tonight.

Pair of new to me wheels and tyres fitted to replace the stolen one, making the good one into a spare, oil and filter changed, good clean and we are off away next week.

Where are you staying in The Lakes?

Although it's a few years since I've been I can recommend Hawkshead Brewery for both beer and food.

Yeah but it's a good reason to stay in the pub all day.

Parkfoot holiday park, we've got a few nights to get across there from Scarborough, then a night on the way back at what sounds like the ideal place for me, farm in the middle of nowhere with no phone service.
