There was a Bangers and Cash on recently with Joe Brown's Morgan Plus 8 - he said he's 6 foot and struggled to fit in the fucker so I'd be fucked.

A very expensive toy and how the heck is it 30 years since they've been building them
I always associate Grinnall with modified TR7s and 8s.

They used to be based on a small country lane where a mate of mine used to live and that's where a lot of them got tested* Local legend has it that there's been a Grinall thru the hedge on every bend on that stretch of road at some point in time.

My friend, now departed, did all of the erection of the new buildings there about 20 years ago, and all maintenance. We took our girls aged about 5 at the time for a tour. It was with the owner, and the girls got to clamber all over the cars that were roped off.
Keith was a BMW guy, 7 series, and refused a free Morgan in front of me, telling the owner they are shit cars for him.
I turns out the owner had been trying to give him a car for years.
He came to Keith's funeral in a prototype Morgan.
Also Keith named his daughter Morgan!
Keith is not his rwal name BTW.

There aren't many cars which I've lusted after that have met expectations. Lets see how this one goes.
So how’d it go? :P

A friend bought one brand new about 5 years ago. I went with him to the factory and watched it being built and again to see it finished. I quite enjoyed the experience at once removed.

Since then I've been a passenger in it and if was OK, not great but OK.

That was enough for me to realise that it's definitely not my cup of tea.

I don't believe I will enjoy it enough to buy one, but we'll see (not that I can afford one).

My father-in-law was the custody Sgt there and lived in that area for nearly 80 years, so he'd well versed with them. I had a factory tour when I first started going out with my missus over 20 years ago now. But I really bought into the idea at the Goodwood Festival of Speed about 15 years ago, when they were affordable. They aren't now.

Remortgage man. Live a little.
Hang on you have a new boiler looming.

How much could I buy one cash?

15 years ago, less that £30k got you into one, a lot less. Now you can't put your name down without £80k to hand.
