Please don't. It's turning out quite well.
A dozen pages ago or so you said I should DIY!

Worse case if it's crap, it can always be stripped off and done at a paint shop.

That brochure reminds me, I once had A0 size ADO16 posters about hydroelastic suspenders n stuff. Not seen them for years, hope they are still about somewhere.

Received the pricelist today. Quite amazing these things last so long in the world without being thrown away. Mrs SiC reckons it's a replica. Could be but it would be a lot of effort for something that sells for a fiver + postage.

I find these facinating to read as they give the idea of not only cost but also what options were available. I'm surprised a radio was an option. I'd have thought they would have been far too expensive an item.
But then these aren't Issigonis designs who disliked such frippery in his motorcars.

Also this book from guest arrived today. Absolutely fascinating read that is picking up stuff that I didn't know. Such as the Frogeye design was influenced by the Jaguar D-Type that was winning all the races of the time. Of course it's an economical version as the budgets were strict and tight.

Price list looks kosher enough to me.....As you say not really worth printing up for the price. There was more than one type of radio, too - I have BMC accessory brochures of that period listing three or four models as well as several Clans of Tartan available for Seat Covers!
There's a great long bar in Rock & Roll heaven.......

I have the handbook from my Grandad's 1965 Austin Mini, an Island blue Super Deluxe. BTT907C iirc. Bought in 1973 to replace a tartan red/black roof 1961 model. Replaced in 1977 by a Teal blue Austin 1300GT. Back when we had a motor industry and a bit of pride.

Oily thumb prints from when chaps did maintenance.

Anyway:
