I've used this and it's worked fine. Never used the sandpaper part but just the paste and drill attachment

FFS, another technocripple. It works absolutely fine.
Gave the dodgy headlight another going over today - it’s much better now. Not 100% - can still see some sanding scratches but it’s clear enough and the light output much increased so I’m happy enough with that.
Sorted out the rear light too…. Sort of
