I have NO clue what you are talking about, but wish you Bon voyage. Or not..

You have succeeded in putting me off LR’s though, in my forthcoming quest to replace my crumbling Musso...

That is an early one. My Disco TD5 is 2004.

I'm with Tam and Nigel.
I don't understand most of it but it's interesting.
By the end I hope that I'll have a better idea.

One of the dads on the school run is service manager for a Land Rover dealer. He told me to never ever buy one.

Apparently the later ones have no dipstick, just a sensor telling you how much oil is in it. Naturally the sensors are not the most reliable things ever made so the only true way to check the oil level is to do an oil change...

Anyway, sorry. I have no idea what you were talking about so I though I would piss on your bonfire. Or wiring loom, call it what you want.

As shite as these things are, they're terrific to drive. But their reliability means I switched to an inferior Shogun.

Have you decided the best solution is to buy an aging V8 Land cruiser yet?
Only kidding watching the diagnosis with fascination

Good morning.

So, replaced sensor, traced break in loom and repaired.
Cleared the codes.
Suspension now operates mostly correctly. Only one lamp on - the active cornering/braking etc on.

Which oddly is related to the last two codes on the screen previously. The compressor is somewhat tired - it's not overheating but slightly out of operating parameters. so obviously (?) turns off the cornering/acc/decel bit.

Probably due to under/over/slow reaction/pressure or phases of the moon, but the rest works. :-)

Oh dear, a Disco 3... I hope it was very cheap.

Good effort for getting some of it repaired, for now.
