HONDA JIZZ - STILL NO TICKET
Original test:

Having squandered my 30-day retest window, I'm back to square one - full test required. On Monday 6th, having done nowt, I could get a retest on the last day. Available times were 7.05am, 7.15am along with 10.45pm and 11pm. So I booked 11pm and arranged for the night off work.
Picking up from where I left off with the headlamp(s):

Most of the day was spent removing the butyl sealant from the headlamp backs. Such a tedious and soul destroying job that will make you want to buy complete headlamps next time. Most of it can be scraped out with a screwdriver about the width of the groove whilst keeping it hot with a hot air gun set to 130°C. Don't go beyond that or get you units mixed up if using an oven and end up with a melted mess (saw a forum post somewhere where the poster had bunged it in at 350 (oops, CELSIUS))
The last remnants can be shifted with petrol and a rag. Eventually you end up with something like this.

Refit the headlamp and indicator reflectors, etc. Then get some fresh butyl strip in the groove, heat the goo up a bit and squelch the new lens into the clips. Head outside and unclip the left half of the bumper because I couldn't be arsed taking it off completely.

Then have a "oh balls" moment. It might look the same to you, but I spotted something that will annoy me endlessly. Remember this headlamp is from a Fit? Well they are the same EXCEPT for the sodding sidelight lens. See it yet? The Euro Jazz has a blue tint to it, the JDM Fit has a clear sidelight inner lens.

Slightly peed off, I turned my attention to the brake pipes.
Wheel off and can see the Tippex on the union. Not really anywhere near fucked at all. Fussy cunt. It's on the sheet so I measured it and flared up a new one.

Clamped the hose and got it replaced and bled it. Wheel on and around to the offside. Wheel off and I see a pipe in a similar condition and no Tippex, but it's on the sheet. The fella did say he marked them.
Then this catches my eye.

Yup, that's the end of the front to rear pipe also on the fucking NEARSIDE. Arse. Best I get the offside wheel back on and go back and jack the nearside up.
(Here's the offside rear repair that was done a while back PRIOR to test that year.)

So with no way to stop the flow, I had to cut and flare while the brake fluid dripped on the floor. After that, I threw the towel in for the night.
