On the flipside due to the cars being parked on the street and not my private property I can't technically work on them until the lockdown is over. I also won't be seeing my girlfriend for the foreseeable future for the same reason, all of which is rather an arse.

Just as well I did the oil change on the Acclaim on Sunday given I still need it to go to/from work...
As long as you aren't being stupid I would consider working solo on your car making sure you can drive to hospital as an essential task.

Aye if garages can stay open then it must be ok to fix your own car too.

Good news on the job front Cpt. With motor working it would be wise not to attract the attention of the polis. This is probably quite likely given your neighbour being a big fucking grass.

Just get down to Lidl and get plenty of Speedy Noodles.

Good news on the job front though.
I think strictly speaking the group of two have to be of the same household.....Best to pretend you co-habit if ever challenged.
No, I can't see what difference it makes either but there you go.

Good stuff on the job too.

Really I need to lie low given the state of the Doloshite and it's "grey area" legality, plus my auld crone of a neighbour.

Probably shouldn't be seeing t'burd anyways given I'm interacting with a factory full of folk everyday and her entire family is populated by people who are 60+ and folk with underlying health issues...

At least I can go back to having a moustache now. Sliver linings and all that...

Your girlfriend is parked on the street?

Seems a bit mean to leave her there.

Glad yours is still giving good service. I gave our Acclaim a good polish yesterday. It looks great but like yours it is having carb issues. This seems to be an issue on these. Not sure what the long term solution will be but it would be nice to keep it indefinitely.

Loads of cars seem to be suffering the same thing, sadly I reckon the rubber components have just reached the end of their natural lifespan

I mean, they definitely aren't, and neither are any of the parts in the repair kits that have been churned out for most old cars over the last 40 years so the problem is only going to get worse...

There is also a lot of fake ethanol proof hose being sold, which is nice.
