Your existing volvo looks half decent from that distance. Have you done anything to the paint work?

Re: Rusty Triumphs in Scotland
Touched up the door with Tipex, sadly it's a fraction of a shade out...
The paint is wretched, there are several poor blow overs in white so even sanding the flaking and matte top one off just reveals a yellower one.
I did get rid of the worst of the overspray though, as it was doing my head in whenever I opened a door...

I once tippex'd a tax disc about 30 years ago. I changed January into July by making the one into a seven. It lasted a couple of months before a keen copper noticed the colour of the actual disc wasn't current. He span around and pulled me.

Brake fluid was better for removing the biro when correcting* tax discs so I've been told.

Re: Rusty Triumphs in Scotland
I knew a bloke who had a rotten xjs I heard he was going to continue using for the quarter mile trip from home to work. He had a bone condition in the legs, walking not too easy. Heard he was going to get some coloured paper to make a tax disc and crimp the edges with some thing? In the days of tax discs of course.
Totally out of touch now, no idea if he did or for how long.

As I suspected I was right about everything.

Sadly I can't claim credit for the idea, it was Tickman on the Beige who suggested it, I merely wielded the drill and dremel.
