My XJ-S had Delanair AC and it was very good and also very simple. IIRC Jaguar used an American air conditioning system (Delanair) - so maybe that's why it works! The Yanks have always been good at A/C in cars.
I won't own a daily car without AC now. Mt recently acquired E36 Touring has it but it doesn't work - that's the first thing to fix.
