OK Throbbers

Ive just been told off for listing a rare, boring Mota on the beige

So I thought Id balance it out with a blue boring Mota here.

I found this a few months back near Mildenhall, sold by a local bombsite dealer when its owner flew home. Seems the US pay to ship their personal cars over, but not back

Yup, its Saturn SC2, built around 2002. I'm sure the cognoscenti here will be able to tell me far more about it than I know..

Anyway, collection consisted of a train ticket up, and a boring drive back.

Its truly boring in the way an underpowered modern is (OK-its 17 years old -nearly new to me) , but reliable, and unusual. I'm trying to track a Coupe, to go with it (theres one in Birmingham -just need to find it).

Ive serviced it, swopped those 15inch steelies for some alloy 17s (which fill the arch's a little better) -and just used it.

The drivers mirror got ripped off whilst parked (isn't Britain a lovely place) so I've a replacement en route, and I've put an ageless plate on it (13 WVO) to confuse the masses.

if there is ANY interest in this blue porridge I'll take some better pics when next in Sussex

I know they are probably bog standard GM porridge underneath but there's something intriguing about them, particularly the 3 door coupes:

 WTF? Really?

That Saturn looks fairly restrained for a yank, I'd be interested in seeing pics of its interior.

That number plate "13 WVO" should really go on something with a Bosch fuel pump and a noticeable whiff of fish & chips though :-D

I thought service personnel got to run their cars on US plates while stationed here? I've seen a lot of base vehicles on US plates on the road.

Definitely interested here. I do agree as said above it looks fairly restrained for a yank but also quite European in its looks.

Wasn't this the new brand that GM created as an 'import fighter'?
