That's some air brake......What a cracking, lovely thing, though. Well worth that sort of money and hopefully well-enough appreciated to be left the fuck alone.

This is quite a cheerful little thing......Doesn't seem dear compared to what folk appear to ask these days. Mind you, they were £75 a ton with a full ticket in my day. Seems nicely unmolested too, these largely escape the gruntfuttocks who fuck Minors up.

Just needs a set of headlight peaks to finish it off.
What engine did they put in the Farina? The venerable b-series?

No, they were A series.....948cc then 1098.

Ah...unless you mean actual Farina rather than A40 Farina....In which case 1489cc / 1622cc B Series and of course the big C Series variants.

For some queer reason they're very aerodynamic. The later pictured one lost some quaintness but some have hatchbacks and gained a brake cylinder for each rear wheel instead of sharing just the one.
I never had a problem with this feature on an A35, but the sight of the flimsy mechanism with the hydraulics dangling in mid air never filled me with confidence.

My A35 had good stopping powers, I still hate bastard in-line brake light swtiches, though.

Here is a nice piece of post-apocalyptic transport, ideal for illicit summer evening pub jaunts in Lockdown. Those headlamp beams will hardly likely give the game away....
