I'm probably showing my lack of knowledge but are those standard spec front overriders? They look very US market to me.

£3700 wasn't a bad price for that XJ6.

It's got character and isn't the size of a Cortina like most so-called superminis are now.

Nice little car, daughter obviously prefers that white blob next to it. I googled that Short 360 over the road - seems it is being used as a classroom in the school there. Cracking idea, that might have kept me within the school gates a bit longer in my youth....

Looks like a wobbed up pile of shit with a crap respray.

Anybody who's just passed their test is going to hate something that old. Whatever they learned in would have had PAS, ABS, it'd be quiet and warm and comfortable, probably had air con, may have had hill start assist, etc.

My very first car was a Datsun 100a. It was a great little car and far quicker than the British crap my friends had. It did like to rust though and was rotten by 10 years old much the same as the British crap in that respect. It was pretty comfortable as well, if you pulled the rear seat back rest out 3 people could kip in the back of it after a heavy night out in Southend.
