Sam Glover did a great, if over edited, piece for Classic & Sportscar last month regarding a trip to India. He really deserved 10 pages, but such is the modern jazz-mag, its assumed readers have no concentration.

I got a sub to C&SC for my birthday last month. I was looking forward to it as I hadn't bought one since 2002. When the first one came I revelled in the familiar cover and first flick through the glossy colour pages, saw Buckley was still in it and thought about what I'd missed.....Needn't have worried, it obviously turned to shit sometime in those intervening 18 years. Not helped either by adverts for £100K Mk Ten Jags. FFS.

I've just cancelled my subscription.
There's some interesting articles amongst all the Ferraris and Astons for sale but I just don't think that it's worth the money any more.

I always enjoyed Glover’s stuff in PC. He is a grade A anorak for Eastern European former Soviet shite to an extent I have to respect even if I don’t concur. I like his writing style and his can do wreckless approach to car retrieval.

I've just cancelled my subscription to Classic & Sportscar. I know it must have been difficult to get good copy during house arrest, but there does seem to be both a dumbing down of the articles and also the classifieds are no fun to a poor wage slave, mortgage suffer like me.

I agree; despite have no interest in Eastern European stuff, good writing, enthusiasm and a technical knowledge will always make me buy/read.
