The Clan Crusader was far better designed as was the Ginetta G15.

I actually think it looks great from a few angles it's just that when those angles are put together then it looks awful.

This is near me.

Reckon bonnet off to a decent panel beater and bumper supports hit with a BFO sledgehammer?

But I must ... resist ... more ... bodywork ... projects

This came up in a group the other day asking for value. I messaged, he said make an offer and I offered £700. Got a no as he thought it was worth more and already had £1250 offered to him.
I was tempted to go have a look and offer more but just noticed he listed with a price finally. I'd be tempted at £1500 if the shell is actually solid in person, as he says but a paint and reassembling project still would be a pretty lengthy affair.
It was why I was asking about fitting a Mini in a van.

It does look that way. That Spitfire is close enough to me that I could be walking to where I store my cars and "accidentally" stumble across it. Likewise possibly even drive it to storage for a later reveal 😆
Midget should be much better to drive than the floppy Spitty.

Incidentally I plan to bring the Midget over for a look over and sort. I said to Mrs SiC that I was thinking about getting someone to move it for me. "But you said it was a running and driving car?". Oops I fucked that up. "Oh of course it is... just being lazy"
So looks like I'll have to limp it over now here instead. 3+ year old fuel, a broken (badly designed) piano style accelerator pedal that gets stuck and chunks of filler falling off along the way. WPCGW?

Looking forward to cracking on with it though and should be good fun to drive. Already had a run around the farm where it's at and it's very responsive through the steering wheel. Going to be a quick and dirty restoration/re-commissioning though. Slap panels on the worst of the rusty bits, filler to bring the paint back up to the right levels where it's flaked off (maybe in a few of the minor holes it has too) and then rattle can it to tart it up. Then go through the brakes replacing everything hydraulic. Hopefully it'll be then ready to go for some fun.

Pretty sure I could get my money back and maybe more with a bit of minor tarting it up. Probably could right now as it is.

This one that ended today reassured me I didn't overpay on mine. I did keep a watch on this as a possible place to put the spare 1098cc I have kicking around. A running second hand 1275 RWD Midget lump is getting on for nearly a grand now. That brings this to what I paid for mine with transport. I wouldn't be surprised if those crusty bits wouldn't be any better than mine if I gave a tap with the Eddie Hammer.
