Indeed from that angle it's almost a MK3 Escort from the windscreen forwards.DodgeRover wrote: ↑Tue Jul 12, 2022 12:15 am You know from that sightly distorted angle they haven't really aged badly at all

Re: EBay Finds
Everything started looking the bloody same around then, though....the corporate Ford look, Audi 100/200 and all the other VAGs even idiosynchratic stuff like Renault and Chrysler/Talbot got that bland oblong black slatted grille, corner gingicators, rectangular headlamps and a flat bonnet.
Much though the Ambassador was the car the Princess should have been I greatly prefer the look of the original 18/22 even that Wolseley pig.

Re: EBay Finds
I like the idea of an A30/A35 but I liked them more back only a few years ago when they were £1.5k cars for a nice one.

Re: EBay Finds
I liked them even more when they were £20. A good one is a worthy investment though, not in monetary terms but it will repay regular maintenance with an almost eternal lifespan. Club spares are brilliant, they can live in the corner of a garage and they are endearing things to drive (more so the A35).
If anything happens to my Minor I'd gladly get another Austin in preference.

Re: EBay Finds
The driving-test thread has brought on a fit of Farina nostalgia. One of the very last “Rileys”. Want.
