Have you had anything American yet? Think unloved 2 door hard tops like a Chevy Nova or similar, just not a fox body Mustang (sorry Jo). With careful selection from a dry state you should be able to minimise the amount of welding needed...
Or even better something V8 and Australian...

Air suspension- gone, now coils

HVAC - gone , now a kit car heater

Window switches- gone now little toggle switches.

Headlining - gone.

Sunroof- gone- ally sheet glued over hole.

Only making £475 at the moment with a day to go and MOT.. I might just have a little bid…

This seems a reasonable price for a pre 80s LR?
I'd like one but I suspect without a farm to play around in, it'll get boring quickly.
