Weird. I’m a bit of a Karmann Ghia sniffer - I think they look really stylish and have wanted one since I first saw one in Porlock back when I wasn’t old enough to drive (15 or 16 I think).
I hadn’ seen a ghia with the rear window of the coupe filled in before a couple of weekends ago at the back to the 50s show, where one had a T top added and the rear windows filled. I saw it for sale this week.

Another rear quarter window filled on an equally messed up Ghia.
Has Nissan Figaro vibes to it, which is weird as they are only just now making it over here to the US due to the 25 year old importation allowance.
I hadn’ seen a ghia with the rear window of the coupe filled in before a couple of weekends ago at the back to the 50s show, where one had a T top added and the rear windows filled. I saw it for sale this week.
