I have brilliant memories rolling around Brighton and Hove in one of those.
Might even be the same one as it was terribly brush painted in that very colour!
I nearly bought this print because of it…
I’d buy the car, but without the two insanely funny female friends, it just wouldn’t be the same.

Good old positive camber. It's either been up in the air prior to the pics or the toe-in is incorrect.

Only if you can tell us the name of the bloke who made it, on which day of the week & the order he kept the bolts lined up on the workbench ready to use.

Nope, they are a transverse leaf arrangement
Effectively the halfshafts act as lower links and permit a swing-axle action. Great until you hit a bump mid-apex.

Having seen a Triumph Herald stripped to driving chassis level I can say they are the flimsiest things you can imagine, with no body weight on them I imagine the bottoms of the wheels would touch each other on sharp bumps.mercrocker wrote: ↑Fri Nov 26, 2021 2:20 pmEffectively the halfshafts act as lower links and permit a swing-axle action. Those early 1200 engines are reputed as being fairly horrible as well, something miserable like 38 bhp. They do look really nice though.
