As someone who bought and sold these for £30 back in the day, I struggle to comprehend their current value.

I guess that it must have been running.

Remind me, when did the Jaaaaaag last run?
I'm surprised it was written off for that. It looks very minor.
Nice use of the forklift too ffs.

Unfotunately many old cars are over-insured on agreed value policies and the temptation to take the money (particularly if you know there is structural rot lurking) and sack off a rebuildable car is often too great. Forklifting a Beetle across the floorpan should be OK if it isn't fucked, the blades will spread the load.

I do like a Capri. Maybe this is the thing that I replace my BGT with. This one is probably a bit too scruffy for my tastes though.

I scored very low on the autie test. I’m cheerful, happy, confident, like meeting new people, chatty and largely sociable. What the fuck am I doing on this forum?

These weren't even that good when new!

That’s true but I’ve always wanted one. I don’t even like strokers really. Not interested in the 550 or 750. Has to be a 380. I won’t get one because I’ll probably hate it.

I have been fortunate to own or ride lots of 70's and 80's two strokes. At the time they were great, but today, taking off my rose tinted spectacles, none were that good, poor chassis's, poor suspension and OK engines

Only two strokes I would have if I won the lottery would be a mid 90's Yamaha TZ250F and Honda NS250, (race bikes) because i raced them, Suzuki 125cc Stinger as it was a great looker, and, if it was a really big win, a TZ750 flat tracker.
Simply because of this

Are you saying that the 250/350LC wasn't a good handler?

Not at all, but we raced them rather than had them on the road. We spent lots of time trying to sort the front end (for the track) without much success, but then everyone was in the same situation. Tuning the engine was easy, loads of tuners to go to for their knowledge (we used Graham File).

But the LC's never floated my boat, but prices being asked (and paid) for them shows they have appeal to many.
