IIRC the Montego dizzler estate was a better bet than the saloon because it came with PAS as standard.
I still have fond memories of my L plated Montego diesel saloon. My third ever taxi.

A winner amongst Van-based retro-lookers. Needs a massive thumper of an engine instead of it’s O-series. Something like a 3 cylinder Gardner converted to sparks+lpg. Then I’d be happy to drive daughters to their weddings on it. For cash.
