As far as I know no crazy Martian's blood was involved in any 405 suspension.

They didn't.

They (4wd 405s) have hydropneumatic rear supension, but it isn't BX. The Pug x4 has one bottle, two rams. The BX has two bottles and two rams.

There's Martian's blood in both.

I've some brand new strut top bearings/rubber bushes, skf vkda 35305, for peugeot 405's on my shelf. If there any use to you cover the postage and they're yours.

Oh yes, I would love to own parts for a car I actually own for a change.

My only 405 I have owned was a H plate 1.6 GL carb. it had manual windows and locks also didn't have Pas either but it did have an electric roof. My dad had a 1.9gr carbed estate too.

The 405 must be one of the best looking estates out there, I'd happily give one a home.
I also share your aversion to dead cow as a seating material btw, not for any hippy animal rights reasons but purely because I find them cold in winter, hot and sticky in summer and slidey and creaky all year round. Velour FTW, every time.

Re: door lock buttons, mine came with a full compliment of all 4 in the rear ashtray and my method for re-attaching them was to use a small cable tie wrapped round the rod to pull it outwards, then slide the button on. 4 months have elapsed and they're all still there, and can withstand manual pulling & pushing when the central locking doesn't want to play ball.
