I remember taking the piss out of a fellow driver at the taxi firm I drove for: he had a chocolate-cammed VF750.

Choke cable either snapped or became loose today. It seems to be stuck half on too. It was stinking on a ride this afternoon.

Bye bye Z900RS, you were fun but not what I wanted in reality.

After achieving less than 500 miles in total this year I'm going to have some time without a bike and see how I feel next year, first time in 25 years I've had nothing in the garage to ride.

500 mile? You really didn't use it much then.

Nope.

I used to average around 10k/yr, most of my mates have given up bikes and moved onto other things, so I've no one to ride with, I've ridden all roads within 100 miles a million times (it feels) coupled with some back and ankle issues it's not been used this year at all, I did 3500 miles in the first 4 months owning it then it has just sat there apart from maybe 4 rides this year, bike values have crept up so it's only cost me a couple of grand in reality which per mile seems expensive but not really.

Choke cable hadn't snapped. The bracket holding it to the carb has disappeared. I'll never find a new one so I've bodged it with cable ties.

That'll be why it was a bit hard to start when Warren had a go.
In fact, it must have been him that broke it.
