Well I got distracted from fixing mine by a mate suggesting a ride in the sun, it turns out Lincolnshire is exactly like france in the most impoartant way - anywhere that sells food or drink was shut with crowds of confused English bikers outside...

Then when I got home I stripped the tank off to balance the throttles & found a spilt vacuum hose, that'll explain the juddering then! I've bodged it & balanced it up. I'll have to replace the hoses though to prevent future problems, they've only lasted 18 years.

If it is old enough to be mot exempt just register it and send an exemption form with the paperwork. I have been told by one of the vehicle inspectors that all imports are having ID checks now so it can take over a month to get a registration. Which makes it worth putting the paperwork in even if it isn't ready for the road

It’s a simson schwalbe from sadly 1983 so needs a test. I took it for one in late September and then life/work got in the way.

I’ve filled the V55 form in and just need to post it, figured an MOT would help with the cause.

I went up to Seaways Cafe, Fridaythorpe today for lunch as it was sunny. Bit chilly mind.

I appear to have upset Mother Nature somehow, as when I was riding under a tree at around 60mph she threw a stick out of the tree that hit me in the throat as it fell! I might start a comp for stupidest bike 'crash' of the year, it seems a good way to start... Pic is about 45mins later when I got to the cafe, the impact was surprising and made me choke for a few seconds.

And finally a very useful service I found on the way that I think a lot more ladies should pay for.

It was, it's gone right down now though. I think the near two hours home in the cold wind worked better than a cold compress would.
