Nice drive up to Glen Coe for another pile of junk. A CZ 125. Had a quick play on it when I got home and it seems to go well enough. Will need to race the mz.

Re: Two wheels good.
Just looking at specs for the RS50, in non UK format they have a top speed of 60mph! I think I had better figure out if this is still restricted (unlikely I know) before they eventually get let loose on the road.

Re: Two wheels good.
I had a Cagiva Mito that had a complete refurbishment of the chassis, resprayed fairing and seat unit, and a full engine rebuild (by my Aprilia factory trained mechanic mate) using genuine Aprilia parts. I recorded 95 mph on my GPS, and I'm a fat bastard. 33 bhp 125's are fantastic.
It sold a couple of weeks ago, having been on display in my mates shop for two years, as he was selling it for me. Even then I had to let him sell it at a bargain price.
Seems 33bhp 125's aren't as desired at everyone says. Maybe I should have said it was the restricted 12 bhp model?

Re: Two wheels good.
I'm sure I mentioned earlier on here that a lad wanted to do his CBT on an RS50 so I test rode it first and even with my lardy arse aboard it happily romped up to 60mph on the speedo.DodgeRover wrote: ↑Tue Jun 28, 2022 11:36 pm Just looking at specs for the RS50, in non UK format they have a top speed of 60mph! Re: Two wheels good.
I'm planning on ensuring the chicken strips are well used before handing it over...
Battery arrived today and it spins over without any hideous noises, which is good as I half expected it to be siezed for the money we gave, didn't try starting it as the tank is off at present and I need to pull the clutch cover to work out why the clutch arm doesn't appear to move anything..

Another 50cc two wheeler that ofter came to us in derestricted for was the bike/scooter combo that was the Gilera DNA. This was something that was hugely popular in the mid 2000s but suddenly disappeared without trace, a bit like Dido or Natasha Bedingfield.

Re: Two wheels good.
There are a few around here still, plus any number of 50cc, two stroke sports bikes. The Reiju's look the nicest, the older Aprilia's sound the best.Warren t claim wrote: ↑Wed Jun 29, 2022 10:56 pm Another 50cc two wheeler that ofter came to us in derestricted for was the bike/scooter combo that was the Gilera DNA. Every single rider of each appears to be a budding Mark Marques. Good for them, and I encourage such behaviour.

Re: Two wheels good.
When we were on holiday in Greece it seemed every local lad could wheelie their 110 scooter the length of the beach road helmetless whilst wearing flip flops and smoking
