In Opatija in Croatia this evening, after riding from Zagreb via Bear Mountain. The cable car to the top was opened once more earlier this year.

Then onto Karlovac to the "Memorial of the Fallen" for those that died in the area during the Balkan War. When I first went there in 2012, there was just a half demolished building. This has been preserved by encasing it in a glass and steel structure, and houses an impressive memorial to all those that died.

Then on towards Opatija where we are staying tonight, as it is basically the northern most starting point of the Adriatic Coastal road down to Dubrovnik.

I'm not sure either, I don't try to do a lot of miles. I just go out when I feel like it, which is a lot as I hate sitting indoors normally. No working car probably helps too.

Rode Route 8 from Opatija to Zadar today, which runs alongside the Adriatic coast line. Spectacular views all the way along it.

Many bikes out today, including what seemed to be most of BMW's European GS bike sales. Never had one, never ridden one, just don't get them (I did have a R1200RS at work, which was alright I suppose).

Onto Split tomorrow for a couple of days. Been there a few times, but always something new to see.

The coast road in Croatia was spectacular when I rode part of it too. I'd love to get back at some point.

Not being able to travel within Europe is no longer an excuse not to give it a go.

Work, holidays, family commitments, money are all that is now stopping you.

Indeed, when the money situation improves I'll be doing it again

So we're going to be reamed for that as well as the Jag?

Wouldn't it be easier and a lot more money raised if Paul just invoiced his customers and you had that?

Good point, well made. I'll propose it at the next board meeting.

Recommendations for cheap classic bike insurers please, FZ750 man came back to me, cheapest so far was £153 with Peter James but it's limited to 3000 miles.
A few years ago it was only £130 with 10 bikes and unlimited miles

Plumbing the collective depths again, never had an FZ750, I found the FZ600 of similar vintage comfy to ride and commute on.
Sports bikes aren't my normal cup of tea, I prefer trail bikes or"muscle" bikes so I've probably got rust colored glass on here looking back.

Had anybody ridden one? Were they awful? Worth a grand in today's market?
