Pah, amateurs, everybody knows you need a donkey motor to get a HD to turn over when cold using the correct straight 40w oil...

I've used the HD for work this morning. Side stand switch works again and the new map they sent pulls like stink low and midrange. It's made as much difference as the original map did over standard.

I'm impressed, wonder if it'll improve much when I autotune it?

Had to get a pair of tyres fitted in Slovakia on the Deauville, as they were very worn, and tram lining everywhere. Seems tyres are in short supply here, so dealer only had Metzlers Roadtec 01's. Had them fitted, so at least I won't get pulled for bald tyres. €333 fitted though.

Setting off to Zagreb tomorrow, but will be back to ride in Slovakia next year.

Yep. Severe shortage of tyres here. My mate spent two hours ringing around, and even then I had to ride 45 kms to get them done.

The Slovakians and Polish we spoke to over tye last few days put the blame for this (and many other things) on the Ukranians. You don't see any Ukranian flags flying here, there is no love lost between them.

Shortage of IRC and Michelin trials tyres here, I think the blame is being pointed at backlogs caused by COVID and more people than normal buying their products.
I've bought my first ever new trials tyre last week - always used to get the cast offs from good riders after they had been turned.

Roadtecs 01s are good tyres, especially in the wet. I was a bit disappointed by how quick they wore down though.

Off topic but reminds me of Perkins diesel engines as fitted to my old van 4.108 = 4 cylinders and 108 cu inches.
