Hooli's back yard - maybe monkey boy could do a wee bit of work on it for you? That burd won't be back again, so he'll have a bit of spare bike-fixing time.

Re: Two wheels good.
One instructor we called Tiny Todd prided himself on his ability to put his K100LT on its centre stand despite being 5'5". Another who managed to convince himself that he was "my best fucking mate" was massively obese and rode an 1100GS proudly displaying ADVANCED INSTRUCTOR on the front.

Fuck no! I borrowed one of those from a dealers we would CBT their scooter punters. Wrong tune of engine for a touring bike, far too peaky. Also it fell off it's sidestand for another instructor.Eddie Honda wrote: ↑Mon Jan 31, 2022 2:09 am https://www.gumtree.com/p/kawasaki-moto ... 1423500819

The RF900 we had was a decent instructor bike, it even had a sausage roll holder in the fairing, the only problem was it chomped through chains at a scary rate.

Re: Two wheels good.
My first company bike was a 1992 GT550. It suffered some interesting electrical gremlins meaning the electric start would fail first thing in the morning. It'd start with a short bump but the carbs have a spring loaded lever meaning I'd have to chock the choke open with the cap of a Bob Heath visor spray can.Eddie Honda wrote: ↑Mon Jan 31, 2022 2:19 am https://www.gumtree.com/p/kawasaki-moto ... 1411917806

Re: Two wheels good.
I've had front pads fall out on a GT550 when it wears a bit too thin. Can't happen on the 750.
I had to bump my 550 in the morning for a while too. Fine rest of the day. Not electrical, it was the roller clutch for the starter that needed replacing. A case split job to replace that cures it.

Fuck me! Didn't the clutch rattle like a Talbot Alpine top end! Don't the later GTs have a different engine out of the Zephyr? (Kawasaki, not Ford)Eddie Honda wrote: ↑Mon Jan 31, 2022 2:26 am I've had front pads fall out on a GT550 when it wears a bit too thin. Can't happen on the 750.
