A screwdriver with a toughend end on the backend that goes right through to the shaft at the frontend, so you can hit/abuse it with a hammer.
Interesting.

Me? I use the appropriate chisel or screw driver as required

I detest abusing tools
So do I. But if it's designed to be used in that way, is it abuse?

They're handy for rusted and stuck fasteners. Allows a good whack to define a screwing face and also help break the bond between fastener thread and threaded thread.
Stuck fasteners? out comes the trusty (and, admittedly quite rusty) impact driver.

Point noted about being designed to be used in that way

Hopefully it's an electricians polished and chromed mains tester screw driver.

I got a £50 amazon voucher from my mam for christmas so I've treated myself to two sets of wera jobs to match my allen keys. We'll see how long these fuckers last.

I got fed up of losing Screwdrivers some years back and bought a CK tool roll. I was in and out of umpteen houses a day so leaving stuff behind was too easily done. I've now got 2, one for purely electrical stuff much like in the 2nd image, the others for general building bodgery. They soon pay for themselves at less than 15 quid a go and last really well. Just count up how many drivers or main items you have when you fill it and a 5 second check means you know if you're missing something.

The rings in each corner can be well handy too. 30 seconds and it's hanging on a wall, very handy on a messy site.

Tool rolls are great....I have one in each Morris, like you say you can see when something is missing, they don't rattle about and if you put the whole thing into a clear plastic bag they don't get wet with condensation or leaky boot nause.

Good idea. I'll give one a go.
I've had my son in with me a quite a few times during covid. The last boiler job we did he left the makita torch and my coat on the job. God knows what else he's lost in the last few years.

I remember about twenty years ago I was fixing a boiler in a nursing home next to the metro centre. My next job was in peterborough, 200 miles away fixing a boiler in a nursing home.
I left my whole tool box back in Gateshead. I had to go to a local merchants and buy some basic tools.

I think I ended up fucking the boiler completely and had to stay overnight to wait for the merchants to open again. Blew the pcb iirc.

Funny I can remember that job 20 years ago and I can't remember what I was doing yesterday.
I think I had to drive to Leicester in the morning as that was the nearest part local.
