I just find it very patronising.
I'm puzzled about it though as surely the board signed it off and most will be boomers. Maybe people like me buy their cars and keep them for a few years whereas this is trying to appeal to a demographic that leases them and renews them every couple of years?
I also vaguely remember something about them having a big push into car related services, which some think could be very profitable, so maybe that's another driver for this strategy.

They've lost the plot.
Just because you can do something doesn't mean that you should.
It's like they had a blue sky seminar but decided to adopt the most airheaded ideas.

Called in to get my garage keys from the van. They don't fuck about.
He said the clutch was 50% worn and the flywheel wasn't too bad. I might get it back Monday depending how long it takes to rebuild the gearbox. Fingers crossed.

That's not as bad as you thought is it?

They quoted a grand plus vat for clutch and flywheel.
£300 plus vat for gearbox bearings etc. plus labour. I am impressed with the speed they're doing it. I thought they'd have it for at least a week.
I did say the price comes second to the service.

How long before the BMW kidneys are out on dialysis? Swelling up like that is a bad sign.

They look grim but you can't see the goppingness from the drivers seat. Grim is what buyers want. Look at the Alfa Giulia - lauded by the press worldwide as a truly superb car and they've sold 12. I tip my hat to anyone who had the balls to buy one over another fucking 320d.

The badge is everything now. Nothing else matters.

I'd have a 520i SE btw. It's the only car they make that still has a bit of dignity. The next one will be awful.

I changed a 2007 320i differential today. It's been a few months since the last one and I forgot what fun they are.

What do you want to call it otherwise?
