We used to have separate sets of winter tyres but it was a pain in the arse. So we swapped to all season ones which aren't supposed to be as good as the winter ones but I can't tell the difference and are fine in the summer. As Eddie says the winter ones wear like fuck in higher temperatures and also flex more as they're made of a softer compound or something like that.

What about chucking a normal set on and a pair of chains? We had cross climates worn out in 20k using them all year.

If I get 10k from a set of fronts on the van it's a result.
Anyway messaged the seller who's refunded me and he sent me a link to the correct ones. So I've ordered them.

Rotate* 'em to wear them out even and replace in sets of four.

I don't mind rock-'ard old tyres or even Chinese ones, but Sir-mix-alot sets give me bad nightmares.

(*Unless they're soft-as-shite Michelins Energy Saver+ in which case the sidewalls will be fooked.)
