Whether they'll receive a boost due to people staycationing is a moot point I guess but given the economic impact of the sniffles I suspect not.
They seem to be holding firmly over here atm, obviously choice is much more limited in NI and travelling to view anything currently is more awkward than it was previously.

The last chap on the Beetle & Bus forum over here to buy a bug recently bought from pictures and descriptions and had the car transported over afaik.

£6500 Is quite a gamble on something you haven’t seen up close or driven.

Pictures never lie, except on a car advert.

We've all done it, gone to a car that looks perfect but turns out to be an absolute heap of shit when seen in person.

Well I bought a P38 Range Rover this afternoon. I go more by the seller and what they are like than looking at the car, It is easy to spot a chancer from a genuine seller. 800 Quid and he will deliver it to me as well. 6 months of boris mot and it will no doubt have some problems but the main bits all work. Anyone want to by a tuned up 806 Peugeot ?

Isn't that a bit cheap for a P38 nowadays?

Very much agree going by what the seller is like. Also I tend to go towards the adverts that list all the faults and possibly broken examples as I generally find those sellers more honest and prepared to take an offer. Spending more I find just means you've bought a broken second hand vehicle for more ...

I do like P38s but even after running a XJR I'm not brave enough.

No sale, but your talk of a P38 interests me...

I was part in buying some future piece of shite, but it's a means to an end. Give it 15 years and I'm not sure how well it'll have lasted though.
More details please.

I can't wait to read a tale full of P38 misery. Quite a predictable story but I never get bored of the bit where they flatten their own battery then fail to recognise the key, like some automotive dementia sufferer.

I am sure there will be plenty of this as it is a bit temperamental with the key. It also has the usual air con faults and the air suspension took ages to do a quick workout. The seller has had it over 10 years and is confident it will make it the 20 odd miles back to my workshop. To be that confident it can't be all bad. The last one I had never made it that far.
