Picked this up last night. tidy bike trailer that's big enough to use as a towing dolly for the trike. Not bad for 40 quid.
I think it was cheap enough even if I did have to ho to wakefield. Not going there in a hurry again.

I went out today with the wire wheel and the angle grinder to sort out some of the Doloshite's inner wing engine bay surface rust. While setting up I noticed, due to the wheel being at full lock against the kerb, a rather grotty looking bit down by the subframe mount in the wheel well.

A compulsive desire came over me, I knelt down beside the car and gently pressed my thumb against the rust spot... There was a damp "crunch" and my thumb disappeared into the chassis. Marvellous.

I'll do a full write-up in the appropriate thread tomorrow but by the end of play today I could stick most of my hand into both of the chassis legs at the front end of the car.

I'm now in talks to acquire a MIG welder...
Any chance you could shift it to FOADs place and weld it there under supervision? Welding in the street isn't really a good idea and will definitely have the neighbour moaning again.

It'd need trailered, even if I rent a trailer and find somebody else to pull it (I neither have a tow car or a trailer license).

If it does get shifted anywhere it'd be up to my parent's place near Strathdon as they have a big detached garage with electricity and it's been long enough since I last occupied their property with fucked vehicles they aren't entirely opposed to storing one for a bit...

Obvious downside is the car being 130 miles and 3 hours drive away from where I actually live, but I can easily go up there for a weekend and sleep on the couch...

Naturally this will have to be done post lockdown, not that there is any rush at this point anyway...

Before the auld yins start complaining, is it a deliberate trap?

Also, since some of us have been bitching about British people writing like yank cunts recently: LICENCE.

I'd say you've got the hang of spelling 'Cunts', it's just the other words you struggle with

I had to go out today, to the office,to pick up letters that I'd printed and then had to hand deliver. It was slightly inconvenient as on Saturday I loaned my Kia to a mate who is "key working" as his car had suffered brake failure on his way home on Friday. I had not planned on going out, never mind I could use the Mx5. Well I could after charging the battery up a bit so that if would start.
It only just restarted in the office car park so I was a bit concerned about stopping it again. Luckily some of the stops were on hills. It did get me home, but I think it needs a new battery. It does have a stupid immobiliser on it which can't help.

I drove a van to Leicester for a charity I volunteer for occasionally. On the way back I thought I would stop for lunch at a beauty spot I know. No, even the access road is closed off. People can go to a small shop that just sells non essential shit and buy booze and fags with very little social distancing but I can't go for a walk around a reservoir in the countryside. Great logic there. Also the queues outside B&Q were huge. There is some bizarre logic going on here
