I'm not sure what's worse, those peaks or the bloody stupid fake vents on the wings. Or indeed the badge at the end of the bonnet.

Headlamp peaks just make the cars look stoned. Probably ok for stoners in campers but nobody else

Do they serve any useful purpose like directing light?

I entirely failed to find my Land Rover 200tdi timing pins, they are in that garage somewhere, well I put them in the garage when I last used them 5 years ago.

Can anyone remember what diameter drill to lock the pump with?

7mm? that's a random memory though so could be wrong.

This says 5mm for the crank & 9.5mm for the pump.

Oh yeah, probably, but you can't tell under that recent paint.

Allegedly they were originally intended to reduce beam bounce in fog. I have to confess that my Minor has them simply because I used to like seeing them when I was a kid. They don't suit that Midget though and neither do the Capri vents which I would have thought were worth a bit of coin now, too.

So... the CRV has bared its teeth again. I can just about hear a very slight exhaust blow somewhere near the front of the system. As it keeps raining, I'm not getting much opportunity to find it.

I've had the worlds worst cold for the last couple of weeks. Couldn't taste or smell anything but was getting an unpleasant 'dry' sensation in my mouth whilst driving.

As the cold has cleared up I can now smell the diesel exhaust fumes coming in through the heater vents.

Oh... and adding insult to injury, its got a factory recall on it too. Potential defect which can spray the cabin with shrapnel if the passenger airbag deploys! Nearest dealer is 24 miles away, across the River Severn where its currently in flood.🤬
