Discovered that the Discovery of Doom has a coolant leak of epic proportions between the rear timing case and the block. 5.5 litres of coolant in 3 miles...
Time to buy a timing belt kit and gaskets!

I looked at the weather, considered doing the front brakes on the other side of the van then decided later or tomorrow might be better...

No it's too late now all this heavy handed moderation by unelected internet gods. It has been nearly a year since the split from AS and we haven't had any real drama's yetso it must be time for a proper melt down. Oh sorry I forgot this place has a sense of humour and most of us are adults.

I put a 2009 Mondeo on my trailer today. A surprisingly big car, way bigger than the early ones but under the plastic engine cover was the same old diesel engine they have been using for years! It looked just like the one in my old 1989 Escort apart from loads of crap stuck on it
