Low mileage, really straight but rotten. Good XUD. Not sure if it will break well, can't be too many of these left. A couple of the doors are mint.
Weird vans, they just about cut it in the '70's, fuck knows how they managed to sell for so long when they actually went backwards in several areas. The original gearbox could be had with the option of 6 ratios, and was nicer to use than the later Landrover derived ones. Composite springs were ditched for inferior and shorter lived steel ones. Mercedes tried this suspension years later, no idea if they now put price before comfort as LDV did.
Good though the Peugeot diesel was, who else went from direct injection to a slightly thirstier indirect one, though at least it was quieter.
The Sherpa's body construction was changed comprehensively early on to make it less rust prone. During the many hours I spent lying underneath the 'improved' version with sparks raining down on me I wasn't convinced Leyland made a success if it.

I think I would be tempted to give it a damn good clean and stick it on eBay with a massively inflated price tag

That's shagged. It *may* skim to get the worst out but ideally YOU NEED GOOD HEAD M8.

^ What he said.

It might skim, but it's borderline IMO. It's worth asking a cyl head specialist for their opinion.

Can't believe it, finally got around to washing the bike. God that was a mess. Just to recover I took it for a quick ride over Holmemoss to cover it in a fresh crust of salt to get to the shops and go back home.

Must have been a reaction to the bad news that the bloke I paid to make the custom apes has fucked it up. Not a happy leather monkey.

Need a sit down now I think my hands have had a reaction to water.

Unfortunately I am banned from eBay but I have put it on gumtree for breaking. I think Dodgybastard got £800 for his, running with an mot but this needs plenty of welding and it has a clutch issue. We

Sold purely on price. The people who bought them were never the ones who actually had to drive one. Horrible things if you had to drive one every day but I suppose they have a certain antiquated charm about them. Might be acceptable in another ten years as a classic van.

eBay give accounts away for free just open another one, plenty of VPNs and throw away email addresses available.

You have to link a PayPal account to an account. Without changing my bank and PayPal details I don't think it would be possible

LDVs to me are school trips or outings. They would have only been a couple years old when I would have been in them but I remember them being rotten and chucking out a lot of smoke.
