Oh I can normally do a loan car but it hasn't even made it home in 2 weeks as I use it for collections as well

But for £100 like you said would make it much more sellable.

It's a 4 week+ wait at the garage I've been using for years.
It was 2 or so weeks before Covid but a few of the staff retired early and he's having a hell of a job replacing them.
A fair bit of his work is on classics, one customer brings his DB5 to him from Portugal for servicing*, and the people who know about them are dying off.

* I've never understood this as by the time he gets back it must be due for another on mileage grounds.

I think this time of year is when all the MOT extensions ended up expiring at. So a glut of cars needing them along with all the newly registered cars in years gone by.

The garage I use is only a 15min rent-a-scooter ride from that office too. So I park up, go into work and then wait for the call to tell me it's done. Super handy and hassle free for that.

They're also incredibly honest and do good work. Hence why they have only 5 star reviews and 43 of them too. They didn't even realise this until I pointed it out to them when I last saw them as they never bother to check or do "online stuff". Just word of mouth business and I guess people searching them will find them at the top of the list.

All of which makes them even busier and harder to get an appointment of any sort.

My Focus was decidedly dirty so it got treated to the excellent local car wash guys who do a great job, seven quid later and it looks much nicer without the cobwebs around the mirrors and door handles. As my brother is coming up tonight I thought it would be good if he didn't get his hands dirty tomorrow when we go off for our Mosquito Experience Day at the East Kirkby Aviation Centre. I'm all heart, me.

Enjoy the Mossie, it's a beautiful rebuild that Tony Agar has managed there.

When you think of all of the flying ones used in 633 Squadron it makes you wonder what happened to them all.
I remember my Dad taking me to the cinema to see it.
