Re: What did you do today?
Took the front off the A8 last night to see where the coolant was coming from and I identified that the radiator is borked. Coolant is weeping out all along the bottom. I ordered a new one from Autodoc and loosely put the car back together.
I can't find any videos on how to put the A8 front into service position, they're all for an A4 so I'll just have to guess!
Its due its MOT in July but I'm going to submit it sharp next month, hopefully get it through without too much expense and then possibly move it on. Never meet your heroes eh...

The A8 is an epic car but at that age it will be a needy thing.

It's why you get so much car for the money and why they're so cheap. Stuff wears and you have to DIY otherwise the bills would become ridiculous.
Plenty of people don't/won't fix their own car and send it to the garage (or even worse, main dealer) on every little problem, would find the bills crippling running such a car.

You probably couldn't even get a half decent Fiesta for what I paid for the A8.
Up to now, I've been so lucky with the other 3 cars in fleet, thankfully.

Decided to try this garage over the road and gave them the van to do the track rod end. An hour later and £40 it was done. Nice friendly porridge wog and had a decent bit of crack with him. Dossn't do class 7 MOTs though.
Silence has been resumed in the van. It's passed the two like that.
