What did you do today?

Talk about your cars etc here. Keep it sort of sensible and on topic please.

Yeah, £800. Renewed the rear arches and gave it a flash over.

Always one of these hovering on my radar, especially an early UK market one. They really have become a latter-day Spitfire or Spridget .

My other half always wanted one British racing green with the tan leather interior, sadly 2 kids and 2 dogs means it's a bit impractical

They make a good second, third, or fourth car for all those occasions when you can leave your kids home to look after the dogs.

Received the gearbox cooler for the Renault 5 the Google fu black belt Eddie H sourced.

Just need to get the right sized seals for this version and fit it.

Looks a bit more corrosion-resistant that one.

I reckon it's the car rover should have made and called it an mg.
I've tracked it a couple of times. I was out on Monday and really went for it, squealing, skidding round the corners. I got home and realised I'd melted the tyres. I was picking slugs of rubber off them. I must have been doing it right.
Here's the drivers front.

Heheh....Good fun! Yeah, I agree the MGF should have been this. Never really warmed to the MG even when they ditched that crappy suspension.

£160 plus going to need to lock the crank and pulleys. Basically quite a bit of a cambelt job.

This is what it sounded like before I got to this point
