Re: What did you do today?
I washed the Merc last night (the only time it seems safe from the bloody sun!) with much help from young Bella who ended up wetter than the car and with more suds on her face as well. However, I was ashamed of the state of the interior and I hate hoovering (look at the state of my flat!) but a de-humidifier bag split back in the mists of time and filled everything with those little silicone beads, couple that with copious quantities of dog hair and it was a tad.... unpleasant.
So I set to, once again with mucho help from short arse who enjoyed the tug of war with the mats (fitted genuine no less) when I tried to shake the worst off, massively enjoyed running of with the blanket when I tried to do the same (it lives n the passenger footwell to keep the worst off...) and really didn't enjoy it when an exasperated dog parent got in a mood and hoovered her.
As an aside, have you ever tried to hoover the passenger side of the car, effectively in the middle of the road while hanging on to the collar of a loony Lab with one hand and the hoover nozzle in the other?
No?
It's really not as much fun as it sounds... Normally, I just leave her to it as sh just stays by me but with traffic about, I got the frets and clung on to her for dear life
Also rang the 'Car Hospital' and told them that, after I had canvassed the opinion of other, more balanced members of the human race(pretty much everyone else then) they could cancel the respray of the passenger side rear door as I was just being a massively fussy old cunt (didn't use those exact words 'cos I was talking to a lady) but I would like to have my bootlid re-sprayed as it is annoying me.
I am glad to report that I am now on very preferential terms when it comes to payment But, the earliest they can fit the car in is the 15th of September, busy buggers and there are about a dozen actual painters there so they are coining it big time, and well deserved it is, having to deal with arseholes like me!

Swapped the lenses from the wrong rear lights. Probably gonna sell the others, scrape back a bit of money.

I hope it goes well and lots of his mates from his old school have gone there, it makes it so much easier.
Starting on a Friday seems a bit strange to me.

With my shirt today, it's more of a Forrest Gump moment.
I need a log to sit on.

Re: What did you do today?
Nothing to do with the car hospital, they tried to sort it (for free!) but there is some sort of fogging under the lacquer that will not fuck off. As we all know, the sort of fussy old cunt that owns this car will never be happy until it's sorted so get it done now.
