Aren't Fixie bikes a thing with the urban youth?
If so the retro, cool, brigade may be seriously interested, make sure to mention patina a few times when you advertise it for £££.

I 'think' I have a developing problem with the SLK. Allow me to explain... but you will need to restrain yourselves from taking the piss as I am about to be really vague.
Sometimes when I start it from cold, it drives... differently. It feels like the choke is on a bit too much if anyone here can remember cars with chokes? The other day, on a slightly bumpy road, it felt like the throttle was being hyper-sensitive or it was being pressed too far, but it wasn't honest...

Today we found this bike put out for the tattersIMG_20200713_150613.jpg
A Viking, made in WolverhamptonIMG_20200713_150620.jpg
Model name, Severn Valley which is interesting as that is a nearby area. As in, all the cars registered VN are from Severn Valley for instance.IMG_20200713_150802.jpg
Well I pumped the tyres up and took it for a spin. The broken seat bit me but it's otherwise okIMG_20200713_150625.jpg
No gears though and It has a fixed rear wheel, no freewheel. One front brake only. Bet it's fun down a steep hill.
Now what do I do with it? No idea!
Give Ghosty a kick, he's likely to know chapter & verse about them.
Er, that's a bit nice is that. The lugging is really quite nice. It could be made of 531, flick one of the tubes and if it makes a nice resonant ping, it's good quality steel. A dull thud isn't.
It's a 50/60s frame most likely, and the fixed gear setup isn't original I don't think.
I think it'd eBay reasonably well to the eroica crowd.

Broken tube going into the rear door, so must go to the wiper blade. No obvious nozzle anywhere.

A new seat, tidy it up and see if the Severn Valley want it for one of the stations as a curiosity or see if one of the train drivers will give you £'s for it? Some of the drivers are pretty well heeled by all accounts, some actually own the engines they drive, maybe one would like something rare and Severn Valley linked for oneupmanship?
I bet Keith would love it to go alongside his Mobylette.
