What did you do today?

Talk about your cars etc here. Keep it sort of sensible and on topic please.

One of my old cars did that. I think it was the v70.
Press the button to open it and the seat and wing mirrors would adjust to my settings.

Oh and having yet another search, taking down the under dash fittings, the OBD port is NOT by the bloody pedals. It is right by the top of the under-dash in a neat little cut-out that is dead easy to see and reach... once you know exactly where it is. It seems like they changed just about everything from the early 350s to the late ones and it has more in common with the x358 (which I really like the wing vents but hate the front bumper... picky, picky little pricky!) but I don't need it now as the light has disappeared again.

It's a fucking Jag so I'm sure it will re-appear or another one will illuminate. That code reader will come in handy one day.

Gave the hearse a run out to the Bridgwater car show today. It was bloody hot and not as busy as normal, but there was very little advertising for it. A few interesting cars but nothing really special. My favourite was the 404 Peugeot that belonged to a German guy over on holiday. The guy on the PA made a bit of a twat of himself trying to tell the German guy his car was like a Morris Oxford. Any way here are my crap pic I am sure SiC will be along later with some more as he popped over for a chat. As close as it gets to a South West Wobbers meet then !

The guy on the PA was also trying to describe the styling of an Edsel without saying what we were all thinking.

A scruffy saloon and a much nicer estate Avenger. It is amazing any survived as they really were the cheap shit box of choice back in the 80's. We used to buy them from auction for 20 quid after selling Escorts for proper money so we could get home.

Whoever came up with the roof idea on this Marina must of been on something, surely a more elegant solution could of been devised.

Didn't get a lot of attention with the hearse but it was Bridgwater home of Somersets weirdest residents, I think it sacred most of them.

I think it's his & her's fobs, it is on mine according to the book anyway.

It had a full engine rebuild, top to toe, about 8-9k ago, so really shouldn’t be knocking on her morning commute!

I’m willing to be it’s going to be sitting here for the rest of the summer, and most of Autumn too!

I happened to see it on FB when a notification popped up yesterday. Mrs SiC parents and brother+wife are down this weekend. My Father-in-law was supposed to be going on some Hawk thing at the local Hawk Conservancy today but was cancelled as it was too hot for the birds. So instead I suggested him and I go down to the show.

I wasn't expecting much but I was happily surprised with the amount there. Good varied selection without too much repetition. Quite small but large enough in this weather that 2hrs was sufficient.

PA guy was talking a right load of guff. I should have recorded the conversation he was having with one of the owners of a hydrolastic car. So bad you couldn't make it up.

I thought I got everything but the heat was stopping my neurons from firing properly and I think I missed a bunch of stuff. Like for example the front of the Frogeye - but that was probably from me being intoxicated from viewing it. One of the few cars that really excite me about the thought of buying.

I'm not a Ford fan but this Granada really did float my boat.

My FiL couldn't understand why someone would spend so much time and money tarting this Mondeo up. I couldn't find anything to disagree with him on that!

Another car that I'd love. Bit out of my price bracket really though.

I think these Datsuns are ace and look fantastic. Another car I'd quite fancy.

I do like classic Jags but the big Jags don't really do it for me though.

The Frogeye I was talking about at the top. Well done for getting this far without either getting bored or having your internet connection die.

Plenty of bikes. I don't know much about motorbikes but they looked shiny and nice.

A banger racer survior car.

Not much in the way of steam and hidden away a bit.

There was also the usual bunch of stationary engines. I'll upload a video of them separately as they're more interesting when operating. Something hypnotic watching one chug away. Plus bonus Battle of Britain Hawker Hurricane flypast footage at the end.

Open again tomorrow. Fiver each entry wasn't too ridiculous nowadays.

10 seconds on each stationary engine so you don't get too bored and then the Hurricane flypast.

That looks like a fair turnout and a fiver to get in is nothing now. My local Agricultural show as 20 quid entry and 6 quid a pint last week!

That looks like a Dutton but the front end has individual cycle wings, guessing it's had a revamped front end and suspension? Some of those were proper dog but that one looks to have a good level of finish?
