What did you do today?

Talk about your cars etc here. Keep it sort of sensible and on topic please.

No, I changed the immobiliser and ECU at great cost already, it's a signal issue, probably the ignition switch.
I'm not taking the dash apart to change it, I want to put the interior back in, after having to remove half of it to get the sodden carpet out, not take it apart any further.
This is how I did mine. Went through the air vent.

I wasn't going to spend £200 on genuine, so I bought the cheaper one:

Still working absolutely fine. Looks like Euros and other retailers have similar part too.

Also goes without saying to check the starter relay. Checked the clutch switch too? Iirc your gen has them and needs it to start.

Great to hear you have got it going and really it is worth fixing properly as you will get a decent price for it rather than chancers like me making insulting offers ! I just came up on one of my facebook memories from 5 years ago when I put the read stripes on it which I liked but seems no one else did.

So, having improved my environmental credentials by spending most of the afternoon chopping up trees with a chain saw ready to chuck in the wood burner to keep us warm over winter, I had a few minutes spare.

"I wonder what happens if I polish this shit Matiz headlight with my old Netto car polisher and some polish?".
