I actually like that new Defender. Then again there are quite a few current motors I like - a lot of current Hondas Toyotas and Lexuses for a start.

Had new suspension fitted to the Hilux Surf, +40mm.
With how much it had sagged and the 40mm lift, I've gained a fair bit. Handles much better, despite the extra hight, safe to say the old struts and springs were fucked.

1hr 45 mins @ £60

Just seen at the top. 2hrs @ £35 plus vat.
Must have been thick oil and took a while to drain.

£35 plus VAT seems reasonable to me, our village garage is over £50 plus VAT.

Yeap nowt wrong with that price and they did a lot more than change the oil it was a full service fuel and air filter also changed. They would also of removed all the wheels and inspected the brakes. Yes 2 hours is maybe a bit long but £35 an hour is a bargain. I was £40 an hour 10 years ago only just gone up to £42 plus the vat.

2 hrs @ £35 plus £35 mot charge.

Full service and mot for £105 plus vat. You've done well Paul.

I pay £54 for the mot.

I did wonder why the locking wheel nut key was on the passenger seat.
